About Us Main Page

Our Mission

Community Servings is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses. We give our clients, their dependent families, and caregivers appealing, nutritious meals, and send the message to those in greatest need that someone cares. Our goals are to help our clients maintain their health and dignity and preserve the integrity of their families through free, culturally appropriate, home-delivered meals, nutrition education, and other community programs.

Community Servings has been awarded a coveted four-star rating for our efficient and effective business model for providing nutrition services to the critically ill by Charity Navigator, America's premier independent charity evaluator.

Our Board

Joan Parker
Secretary
Joan Parker has lent her name and her heart to Community Servings' mission - putting our small agency on the map. A wonderful problem-solver and generous friend, Joan has co-chaired 17 LifeSavor fundraisers, serves on our board and led both of our capital campaigns.

Our Staff

Tim Leahy
VP of Development and Communications
After many years in sales and marketing and holding development positions at the Boston Salvation Army and the United Way of Dutchess County, NY, Tim joined Community Servings in August 1999. He is responsible for the agency's fundraising and marketing, working with the Board, staff, volunteers, individual donors, and corporate and foundation partners to acquire the resources we need and increase our visibility.

Our Supporters

Ron Ansin
One of Massachusetts' most inspired philanthropists, Ron has supported every fundraiser we've ever hosted and gave the lead gifts to both our capital campaigns. But it is his wise counsel and friendship we treasure most.
